Does a participatory economy really work in countries as populous as China and India?

We expect that it should, yes. A participatory economy is intended to work at any scale. In the computerized simulation research that I’ve helped write, we have successfully simulated economies to the size of 30 million people – comparable to the size of a country like Sweden. We would have to increase the size of the simulations to that of a billion people or more (comparable to countries like China and India) in order to confirm that a participatory economy still works; I expect that it would work and perhaps someday we can build that.
